Ice and snow as a playground
Pick-ups with living cabins from Tischer invite you to go winter camping
Kreuzwertheim/Stuttgart. It’s an uncomfortable time for camping fans to meet at the CMT in Stuttgart: Night frost, temperatures around zero during the day, ice on the road, snowfall. This is why the winter months are usually the phase between the caravanning seasons. However, for anyone who drives a pick-up with a Tischer camper cabin, “season” is a relative term. Thanks to the all-wheel drive and fully insulated cabin, Father Frost is a pleasant companion for winter vacation fun. Visitors to the CMT in Hall 5, Stand B76, can see the powerful bolides and cozy cabins for themselves.
Agile on all fours
Even in winter, nature has its beautiful sides: snow-covered mountains, frozen lakes, clear air. For motorists in general and campers in particular, however, winter roads offer little cause for joy. Unless you have an all-wheel drive vehicle. Compared to all-wheel-drive cars and caravans, pick-ups with a Tischer camper cabin have the great advantage of being extremely agile and maneuverable. Maximum traction provides the necessary safety. “An icy road only has around a quarter of its normal coefficient of friction. Winter tires and, above all, a modern all-wheel drive significantly increase the stability of the driving behavior,” explains Peter Tischer, CEO of Tischer Freizeitfahrzeuge. Even trips into the snowy mountains are no problem with a pick-up and camper van. This is an advantage that also has a positive effect on tours lasting several months through different climate zones. However, it’s not just about getting around, but also about living comfort.
Warms from the inside out
First of all, both the BOX and TRAIL versions of Tischer’s living cabins are fully insulated. 30 millimeters of rigid foam ensure that there is no gateway for the cold. In this way, a jacket encloses the inside of the cabin that does not buckle from sub-zero temperatures. A modern, powerful Truma Combi 4 gas heater (except TRAIL/BOX 200) warms up the spacious living area within a few minutes and maintains a constant comfortable temperature. The owner sets the degree conveniently on the control panel. Tischer has recently revised the heating concept so that the warm air does not remain in the immediate vicinity of the heater but is distributed evenly throughout the cabin. In the in-house cabinetmaking workshop, ventilation slots are now positioned so that the heat is better conducted. When constructing the cabin, the designers also ensure that all areas of the cabin benefit from the heat flow.
Visitors to the CMT trade fair can obtain information on the subject of “winter camping” and all other aspects of pick-up camping directly from Tischer. X-Class, Amarok, Ranger and Co. await you in Hall 5, Stand B76 .
